Middle East Government Business Investment Seminar

“Held for the first time in Singapore, the Ajman government contracted our invitation service to promote this new free trade zone to business owners, encouraging them to expand their operations to Ajman, UAE. Within minutes of sending out the EDM, we garnered a 5.9% open rate and 160 sign-ups for the 80-seater event.

ASEAN

Competition Policy Advocacy

Confluence PR was engaged to work with ASEAN’s competition law divisions to devise marketing and outreach strategies for competition policy in ASEAN. The team met with 10 ASEAN delegates over 12 months in 3 locations around ASEAN: Singapore, Bali and Bangkok to come to a successful completion.

ASIAN FESTIVAL OF FIRST FILMS (AFFF)

Gala Film Awards for First-Time Film Makers of Asian Descent

Supported by the Media Development Authority Singapore (MDA) and Singapore Tourism Board (STB), this event has been held in Singapore for 5 years, 4 out of which, the PR and marketing were handled by us. We worked with both government agencies who flew in 10 regional press representatives to cover the event. Coverage garnered: approx. SGD 10 million.

BACARDI MARTINI

Inaugural Mojito Fiesta, Singapore

Our team conceptualised the Fiesta and 5 large-scale events, and pitched for funding for Bacardi to make this a larger scale event. Bacardi received good brand awareness and a major funding from STB . PR, marketing, design concepts, installation were done by us.

CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND

Santa Claus Conference

We were tasked to raise awareness for the 6th edition of Christmas Wonderland 2019 with new attractions including parades, performances and new light installations at Gardens by the Bay. We pitched to targeted media outlets both locally and overseas on a range of angles such as things for visitors to see and do, kid-friendly options, gifts to buy, food options available. Over 120 media attended the official launch on 29 Nov 2019 and SGD 4.7 million worth of media coverage was garnered.

Oil and Gas Conferences Organiser

Confluence managed international media for the annual Liquid Natural Gas conference for one of Singapore’s leading conference organisers for the industry. Attended by Past President Nathan, Minister Iswaran and international bigwigs from the industry.

Confluence PR was engaged to promote Continental’s business in Singapore when they wanted to launch their new green initiatives. We managed to get them featured in niche publications for businesses.

Bespoke Uniforms

CYC the custom shop wanted to garner media awareness for their corporate label. We got the Singapore Book of Records to adjudicate the largest chef’s jacket in Singapore’s history, which got the company featured on Channel News Asia at the Food and Hospitality Asia 2012.

DESIGN COUNCIL

Design Week & Venice Biennale 2016

Confluence PR was involved in the PR and development for the publicity for Design Week 2016 and for the Venice Biennale held overseas. We accompanied the media on design trails, held press conferences and garnered over SGD 5 million worth of coverage for Design Week and another SGD 1.4million in local media for the Venice Biennale.

FUKUI PREFECTURE

Inaugural Food Fair and Food Tasting

With 3 weeks to go to the event, the Japanese agency contacted us in Singapore to help them to shore up attendance for their in augural food event, as well as to provide the on-site Events Management support. The partner they had contracted had by then only secured 20 RSVPS. We created this invitation campaign for them to 50,000 of our mailing list and garnered another 120 sign ups within a few days, leading to a successful, full house event.

Habits of Mind Symposium

We managed the marketing planning, promotion and marketing of this seminar on a tight timeline. 100 parents and 300 educators attended the seminar.

Singapore’s most prestigious interior design awards was marketed, promoted and executed by Confluence PR from getting participants, judges and media to great success from incremental participation by the industry from 178 to 258 entries in the 2nd year. Investment Exhibition at Suntec

(11-12 April 2015)

Our team instituted a PR and social media and media management plan for the exhibition to help them raise their profile among the investment public. Garnering more than $100k worth of publicity and raising their fan base by 1000% in 3 weeks was no mean feat, but we are glad we have successfully delivered to another happy client.

ISRAEL EMBASSY

Open A Door to Israel

We were engaged by The Israel Embassy to create awareness for the exhibition, “Open a Door to Israel”. Singapore was the first Southeast Asia stop for the exhibition after countries like Poland, Italy, France and Russia. To build awareness and anticipation from the public, our team organised a food trail event in the lead up to the exhibition, as well as radio giveaways of Israeli products. 112 press clippings and S$1 million worth of media coverage later, queues were forming outside the exhibition.

MEDIATEK

Taiwan Semiconductor Giant

Our team launched the first Mediatek major announcement in 2010, with support from EDB. 4 years later, in celebration of their 10th anniversary, Mediatek contacted us again to lead their media outreach campaign. Mediatek is a listed leading semiconductor firm. To celebrate their 10th year in Singapore, they announced an SGD 250m investment in R&D in Singapore. The major press, TV and radio covered the event and post-event coverage.

MUSICBOX

Singapore’s First Karaoke Songs Streaming Technology

MusicBox was relatively unknown and needed help to get their customers to trust that they were not a fly-by-night karaoke/software company, especially since they were selling maintenance packages to Karaoke pub owners afraid of technology and afraid that they would not be around after signing a 1-year contract. Publicity helped them earn some credibility and increase their revenues.

We handled the press launch of the 35th anniversary of the Speak Mandarin Campaign, with PM Lee as guest-of-honour. The event was held at the National Library Atrium, and security was tightly adhered to. Our teams achieved a media coverage value of SGD 1 million for the launch of the campaign

Created for NUHCS for their annual The Heart Truth Symposium, across online and print media. We gave the brand a refreshing, young look that helped to create a positive and attractive event for people to attend; tickets were sold out within 2 weeks after the publicity materials went out.

OUT OF THE BOX PUPPET FESTIVAL

A Pure Puppet Week

The Out of the Box Puppet Festival media engagement was handled by us for 2 years in a row. There were 5 acts per festival held over a week. Extensive publicity was generated through media interviews on print, TV and radio. Magazines also tied up with the festival to give tickets to families and a charity run was organised where sponsors donated tickets for underprivileged children.

Conluence PR was appointed to manage the social media pages for Chingay 2018 and the PAWearhouse Instagram account in November 2017. Our team managed the on-site reporting and Facebook feeds, as well as the curation of photos and editing for posting.

Largest Real Estate Symposium

We helped RCN to organise and market several real estate symposiums (largest in Singapore) for up to 1,000 real estate agents, over 4 years. From attracting sponsors, to creating banners, publicity and video to market the event, our team worked closely with the Real Centre Network team to create and bring this event to fruition from its first to fourth run.

Printer/Publisher

Sang Choy is a printing company specialising in the production of high quality hardcover coffeetable books and children books for European and US publishers. Confluence PR managed to have them featured in the Business Times and Zaobao a few times, no mean feat for a “mature” industry and for a client as “un-newsy” as a printer.

SINGAPORE COMIC CON

Comic Fans Conference 2019

Our team was tasked to raise awareness and position SGCC as the premier pop culture event in Southeast Asia amongst hardcore fans and increasing foreign footfall. The team secured over 180 media attendance over the 2-day event, 40 at the media preview and 932 clippings with a total media valuation of SGD 28 million in key media such as Channel News Asia, MoneyFM and The Straits Times.

SINGAPORE TATTOO SHOW

First-ever Tattoo Show in Singapore

Confluence PR raised the PR for this inaugural event with 163 media attendance, 14 mainstream media interviews, 135 media clips and SGD 800,000 of media coverage. Chris Garver of Miami Ink and Kirby Lian of Utopia Studio, the show’s organiser were interviewed by Eunice Olsen on AXN, by Flying Dutchman and Glenn Ong on Class 95 and numerous times by The Straits Times and Channel News Asia. The show attracted more than 18,000 visitors over its 3-day run.

Spice Global set up their first Asian office in Singapore. Confluence PR was contracted to organise a press conference and trade launch which over 30 business media and 150 industry professionals attended. Held in St Regis.

Alternative Investments Seminar

Confluence launched the Spike Talk series to promote financial education to investors. Financial companies took up speaking slots in order to address an investment-savvy audience that Confluence invited through 360 marketing efforts, thus increasing brand awareness and public confidence for these financial brands.

Suntec Real Estate underwent a buyout/takeover and the 15-year brand underwent a brand refresh with the help of our consultants. We helped the company find a new vision, mission and positioning statement and rolled the rebranding out across the organisation, and extended this new branding to garnering press awareness for the new company.

Shrimp Farming

Confluence PR conceptualised and managed the press conference to announce the partnership of this local start up with the Shanghai Municipal government for sustainable shrimp farming. The Confluence team was flown to Shanghai to handle this end to end for the client. The news was well-received in China and Singapore and aired 4 times on CNA’s various news segments.

Our team provided media relations counsel to WDA for an entire year, during their transition phase. They needed assistance with the new initiatives being rolled out, as well as to handle negative press that had accumulated over certain new government initiatives.
